Who we are
Tech Living HQ is an independent editorial site about small-space appliances and smart-home gear, written for renters and apartment dwellers. You can reach us at contact@techlivinghq.com. We are not a shop: we don’t sell products, take orders, or process payments.
What we collect
- Nothing you don’t send us. There are no accounts, no logins, and no checkout on this site. We don’t ask for your name, address, or payment details.
- Emails you send. If you write to us, we keep your message and your email address so we can reply and, if you’ve pointed out an error, so we can record that we fixed it.
- Basic technical data. Like almost every website, our server records standard request information — such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested — for security and to keep the site running.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses cookies — small files stored by your browser — to keep the site working normally and to understand, in aggregate, which pages people actually read. We use Google Analytics for that: it counts visits, page views, traffic sources, and the rough country a visit came from. Google may set its own cookies (for example _ga) to do this, and processes that data under Google’s privacy policy.
We look at that data as totals and trends, not as a profile of an individual visitor, and we don’t try to connect it to your name. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time and the site will still work, or use Google’s own opt-out browser add-on to stop Analytics measurement across sites. Affiliate links: how we make money
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission from the retailer or from PartnerBoost, the affiliate network that connects this site to retailer programs including Amazon. The price you pay is the same whether or not we earn a commission.
- When you click through, the retailer or the network may set its own cookies so the purchase can be credited to this site. Those cookies are set by them, not by us, and we never see your order details, your address, or your payment information — the purchase happens on the retailer’s site, under its own policies.
- Commissions do not influence which products we cover or where they rank. Products are listed in the order our research puts them, and we say plainly when something isn’t worth buying.
- Affiliate links are disclosed on the pages that use them, and in our affiliate disclosure.
Who we share data with
We don’t sell, rent, or trade your information. We share it only with the service providers that keep this site running — our web host, our content management system, and Google for analytics — and only to the extent needed to do that. If we are ever legally required to hand over information, we’ll comply with the law.
How long we keep it
Technical server logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes. Analytics data is retained under Google Analytics’ standard retention settings. Emails you send us are kept while they’re useful — for example, until a correction has been made — and you can ask us to delete them at any time.
Your choices
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings — the site keeps working.
- Use private or incognito windows to drop most cookies when you close them.
- Email contact@techlivinghq.com to ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted.
Children
This site is written for adults buying things for their homes. It isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll update the date below and, for significant changes, note it on the site rather than quietly editing the page.
